Lauren Gancarz loves all things music and family.  She traces her musical roots back to church, where she was exposed to beautiful music Sunday after Sunday.  As a high school student, she sang in choir and showchoir at Jenks, taking opportunities to perform in musicals.  Inspired by her high school choir teacher, Lauren pursued a degree in Vocal Music Education at Oral Roberts University.  she graduated Suma Cum Laud in 2004 and was named Outstanding Music Education Student.  Upon graduation, Lauren married her college sweetheart Thomas and began her teaching career as a Vocal Music Director in Broken Arrow Public Schools.  Lauren taught four years before taking a break from full-time teaching to have her son, Brett.  Lauren teaches private vocal lessons and enjoys playing piano for fun.  She is very active in her church, Christian Chapel and enjoys leading adult choirs for special occassions.  One of Lauren's favorite things is taking her son Brett to Bounce'n Beethovens class at MSPA.  Her husband, son and 140 pound dog keep her busy!  At MSPA, Lauren serves as Lead Project Manager for annual events, camps and new programs.
